The scene is set against a golden-hued cityscape, where Mary and Joseph bring the infant Christ to Simeon, who receives Him with reverence. Anna the Prophetess stands beside them, her expression solemn, witnessing the fulfillment of prophecy. The composition is rich with symbolic gestures—Joseph holds two doves, a traditional offering of purification, while Mary’s hands are folded in quiet devotion.
